| Description: | This special symposium will celebrate the distinguished contributions of Julius Axelrod, Nobel Laureate, during his lifetime for a half century of neuroscience achievements. Dr. Axelrod's discoveries of neurotransmitter systems has led to new CNS therapeutics. This symposium will capture the strategies for cutting edge neuroscience research instilled by Julie to members of his laboratory at the NIH over several decades from the 1960's to the 1990's. This Symposium will follow Julie's lead in mentoring young scientists. |
