| Description: | Public Lecture Series The SIRA sponsors a monthly Public Lecture Series in which UCSD faculty as well as visiting scientists present lectures on topics related to the diseases of aging. Lectures are held on the UCSD campus usually in Garren Auditorium, 1st floor of the Basic Science Building on the third Wednesday of each month. Parking is provided free of charge to those who are contributing members to the SIRA. Lectures are video-taped by UCSD TV and aired on Cox Communications San Diego, channel 66, 12 noon to midnight, M-F; Cox North County, channel 69, 12 noon to midnight, M-F; Time Warner Cable, channel 18, 4:00 P.M. to midnight, 7 days per week; Coronado Cable, channel 16; or UHF (without cable) channel 35 and Del Mar Cablevision channel 66, at variable times. Echostar Satellite's DISH Network, channel 9412. As well as being replayed on UCSD TV, copies of the lectures are kept in our library, The Suzanne Angelucci Educational Center, and are available for rental to those who are current contributing members to the SIRA, faculty, and students.
