| Description: | The Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography is hitting the open water during Sea Kayak Adventures. Participants will learn the basics of ocean kayaking while exploring the coastline and calm waters of La Jolla. Scripps naturalists will team with instructors from Ocean Enterprises Express to guide kayakers from the beach at La Jolla Shores to the caves at La Jolla Cove. Participants will discover the unique local geology from a different point of view, while keeping a lookout for shorebirds, dolphins, sea lions, seals, and other local marine life. Beginners are welcome. |
