| Description: | Join us for a special reading of the classic, The Velveteen Rabbit by storyteller Miss Leah. Families and children are welcome! Presented by Light One Little Candle, the children's book donation program for cancer patients. Learn more about the program and enjoy light refreshments. Donation of a NEW children's classic book for any age is encouraged. Miss Leah will read the beloved story about the stuffed toy rabbit a boy receives as a gift. Storytelling is a caring way for patients with cancer to bond with their children, at any age, helping them through an uncertain time. This program promotes this special bond and its volunteers distribute donated books in all the clinic areas of the Moores Cancer Center. Information on volunteering and how to donate a children's book via our Amazon wishlist will be available. Books make the perfect gift, and the books our patients receive and read to their children become treasured keepsakes. If you bring a book to donate to a patient, it MUST be NEW. |
