In the last few years, there's been an explosion of new tools that are changing how we work and play on the web. These new tools and technologies are sometimes referred to collectively as Web 2.0. In this hands-on session, you'll get to try out some of these new technologies and see how they can work for you: --Blogs - how to find the good ones and what you need to set up your own --Wikis for collaborative writing and editing --RSS feeds for keeping up with news and information (and podcasts) --Social software, from Facebook to del.icio.us Registration required via Enrollment Central: http://enrollmentcentral.ucsd.edu/sed_course.cfm?&cdcrs=BLGS2WIKIS |
