| Description: | In the earliest era of movies, French filmgoers were ahead of the United States in some ways. The French had the first opportunities to gather en masse to see films at a cinema, while Americans were more likely to see the earliest short films via novelty machines, standing in line for the opportunity to catch a glimpse. There will be short surprises from Georges Méliès, the Lumière Brothers, and more!
