| Description: | On an early Sunday morning, along with the breeze, the 15th Annual Luau and Longboard Invitational will present the 2nd Annual Survivor Beach, an event that brings the community together in support of cancer research to honor all individuals in their fight against cancer. Genentech is this event's sponsor. Scheduled for August 10, 2008 at 8:00 AM at the beach near Scripps Pier in La Jolla, California, participants will lay down more than 140 surfboards, nose to tail, to beat last year’s remarkable record of 1133 feet – just over three football fields. Bring your surfboard(s) and you'll receive a commemorative gift. Participants will also be registered to win a pair of tickets for the Luau & Longboard Invitational on August 24, 2008.
