| Description: | San Diego, November 14, 2008: UCSD Black Staff Association scheduled to host an elegant Holiday Evening of Networking and a Membership drive at The Loft located in the newly added East expansion of the Price Center on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 6pm to midnight.
The UC San Diego Campus and the San Diego community are invited to dance to the sounds of DJ24K and laugh with comedienne Shawn Pelofsky. Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities to win door prizes with the first drawing at 6:30pm so arrive early. UCSD’s nightlife recently got a boost with the opening of The Loft, a performance lounge and restaurant all rolled up into one. Designed and furnished by San Diego’s go-to designers, Bells & Whistles, The Loft interior is a fresh take on mid-century hip. Modern bench seating, sculptural lighting fixtures, plush ottomans, and understated architecture provide the feel of an intimate urban hangout and the perfect setting to absorb artistic experiences. The cost for tickets is $10 per person in advance or $15 per person at the door. Tickets for the event are available at the UCSD Box office located in the Plaza Level of the Price Center at UCSD. Tickets may be reserved by phone at 858-534-TIXS (8437) or email to BoxOffice@ucsd.edu to be received by mail or picked at the UCSD Box Office or Will Call at the door on the night of the event but a convenience fee will apply. Parking is available at the nearby Gilman Parking Structure for $3. The proceeds from this event will benefit the UCSD’s Black Staff Association, which supports the professional and personal development of its members and contributes to the enrichment of diversity at UCSD through outreach services and programs.
