| Description: | The Experimental Drawing Studio is pleased to present: Am I Drawing Now? Am I Drawing Now? is a series of lectures, conversations, performances and exhibitions that seek to illuminate drawing as a cross disciplinary activity. Our series begins this fall with half-hour informal talks that take place in the Experimental Drawing Studio at UCSD. The series is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Tuesday Dec 11, 4PM: “Drawing Blanks” with Professor Lesley Stern, Visual Arts, UCSD, in conversation with Visual Arts Graduate Student Allison Spence. The Experimental Drawing Studio is located in room 202 in the new Structural and Material's Engineering Building at UCSD. The studio provides an active research environment with a primary interest in defining drawing in an inclusive and expanded form. The drawing studio's location in the SME Building enables integration into diverse research platforms and the studio's reach spans across university departments, institutions and geographies. The Experimental Drawing Studio is led by Associate Professor Amy Adler, Visual Arts UCSD and Managing Director Joshua Tonies in collaboration with Visual Arts Studio Area faculty and a committee of Visual Arts graduate students. |
