Description: This panel will discuss the future of China's reform after the Third Plenum of the 18th CPC Congress in November 2013. Panelists: Professors Barry NAUGHTON, Victor SHIH and Susan SHIRK, UC San Diego; and WU Jinglian, Senior Researcher, China State Council Development Research Center. Moderated by Lei Guang, Director of the 21st Century China Program, the following questions will be addresed: What do the Third Plenum decisions hold for the future of China? What strategies will China use to implement its ambitious reform agenda? What implications does the new round of reform have for China's economic and security relations with the U.S. and other countries in the region? A reception will be held after the talk.
