Completed in 2021, the Design and Innovation Building (DIB) is UC San Diego's 74,000-square-foot dedicated hub and your campus resource for all things entrepreneurial. The building houses The Basement, Makerspace, The Design Lab, and Entrepreneurship Center. Each floor is thoughtfully designed to empower our remarkable community of students, faculty, and staff to explore bold ideas, cultivate critical thinking, and seamlessly progress toward making a lasting impact on society—whether through innovative projects or the launch of their own startups.
