Nov 4, 2019–Nov 4, 2019 from 4:00pm–5:30pm
Harvard research fellow, Vera Mironova, will be exploring the policies and roles of enlisted foreign troops in the Syrian war. How do armed groups absorb foreign militants? When volunteers arrive from abroad, how do rebel groups use them most effectively? The answer is based on firsthand research with foreign fighters on the Syrian front line. Cosponsored by the Korea Pacific Program and the Strategy Studies Group.
