On November 30, 2021, Josephine Baker will be honored with a memorial and plaque at the Paris Panthéon. The African and African-American Studies Research Center at UC San Diego will hold a Josephine Baker Tribute over Zoom. Professor Bennetta Jules-Rosette, Director, AAASRC, will serve as hostess and emcee for this event. The program will include photographs and personal memoirs from various people as well as "Josephine Baker: Icon, Image, and Global Leader: A Spoken Word Presentation" by Wallace G. Bullock of Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse.
