Commencement marks one of the most important moments in a student’s academic career—culminating years of hard work with a UC San Diego degree. While this year’s commencement ceremony will not be in person in June, our graduates and their tremendous accomplishments must be celebrated—now, virtually, and again, in person, when it is safe to gather. This does not replace the traditional in-person ceremonies that will be held at later, yet-to-be-determined dates. To this end, UC San Diego has planned a special virtual ceremony on Saturday, June 13, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time that recognizes the strength and resilience of the Class of 2020 and honors our graduates at this most memorable milestone.

Candidates who register by May 26 will have their name recognized during the ceremony and will receive a complimentary mortarboard and tassel prior to the June 13 event.
