To celebrate National Chemistry Week, we here in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC San Diego, are hosting our first “All Hands-On!” on-campus event. Come join us for an evening of hands-on activities for K-12 students. Over ten groups from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will be hosting a wide variety of active, hands-on activities for K-12 students. Participants can look forward to learning about the science of ice cream (and eating some too!), the chemistry of scents, see a cloud in a bottle, learn magic for muggles, view molecular simulations, make molecules out of marshmallows, extract DNA from fruits, and much more! We hope to see you there! All Hands-On! is generously supported by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of California San Diego.
