Is America now acting like China in curbing China’s technological rise? Drawing from her newly released book, High Wire, Angela Zhang will delve into the striking parallels between U.S. and Chinese regulatory governance. Through an in-depth examination of the structure, processes, and outcomes of U.S. legal strategies, she will unravel the dynamic complexities and unintended consequences of U.S. legal actions against China.
Speaker:
Angela Huyue Zhang, is a Professor of Law at the USC Gould School of Law. Widely recognized as a leading authority on Chinese tech regulation, she is the author of two books in this field: “Chinese Antitrust Exceptionalism” (2021) and “High Wire” (2024). Zhang is currently doing research on artificial intelligence regulation and U.S. tech policy toward China.
