May 9, 2018–May 9, 2018 from 5:30pm–7:30pm
In this lecture, NY-based artist Jes Fan will share their practice and process with the audience, discussing what moves their practice and where they’re heading next. Notes Jes Fan: “My studio practice emerges from a haptic inquiry into the materiality of the gendered and racialized body. From sex hormones to silicone, from soap to moisture, I use substances that are imbued with erotic and political signifiers to locate the edges in which these bodies become othered.”
