Artificial intelligence is transforming how biomedical discoveries are made, translated, and delivered. The School of Biological Sciences 4th Bridging Biomedical Breakthroughs Summit brings together faculty innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, legal experts, and healthcare leaders to explore how AI is accelerating the future of biomedical innovation.

Hosted by the School of Biological Sciences in partnership with the Office of Innovation and Commercialization and the School of Medicine, this Summit will spotlight emerging advances in therapeutics, diagnostics, and medical imaging, highlighting how AI is enabling new approaches to discovery, improving precision, and accelerating the path from scientific insight to real-world impact.

Open to UC San Diego faculty, postdocs, and students, as well as leaders across the medical, healthcare, and life sciences industries, the Summit will feature insights from successful entrepreneurs and investors shaping the future of AI-enabled biomedical innovation. Attendees will gain perspectives on launching and scaling companies, advancing research toward translation, and navigating the path from discovery to impact. The program will also feature faculty innovation pitches showcasing groundbreaking research and emerging technologies that harness AI with the potential to transform therapeutics, diagnostics, and medical imaging.
