Between Competition and Cooperation: The Future of the U.S.-China Relationship

Between Competition and Cooperation: The Future of the U.S.-China Relationship

The 21st Century China Center at the School of Global Policy and Strategy invites the public to attend a talk for the UC San Diego Forum on U.S.-China Relations titled "Between Competition and Cooperation: The Future of the U.S.-China Relationship."

As the bilateral relationship between the U.S. and China enters uncharted waters, the path to a new relationship is highly dependent on whether or not we can forge cooperation between two competitive giants of a nation. A panel of experts, including forum co-chair Stephan Hadley and James Steinberg, former deputy national security secretary of state, will share the stage with others to offer insights into how the U.S. and China can restrain competitive excesses, sustain cooperative energies and work out a modus vivendi given their increasingly divergent interests.
