Black Arts Collective Artist Lecture Series Kick Off: Ephraim Walker

Black Arts Collective Artist Lecture Series Kick Off: Ephraim Walker

Join us in welcoming Filmmaker and Creative Producer Ephraim Walker as we kick off Black Arts Collective's Artist Lecture series. Ephraim Walker is a filmmaker, activist, and creative producer of the 2013 film Fruitvale Station. He earned his MBA from Howard College and earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from the USC Gould school of Law and a minor in film production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. It was during his time at USC that Ephraim met Ryan Coogler. After graduating, Walker took a legal position with The Law Offices of John L. Burris, where his first assignment was to work on the controversial case of Wanda Johnson v. BART (The Oscar Grant Case). Ephraim reached out to Coogler, and they went on to create and produce Fruitvale Station, where Ephraim served as Creative Producer.  Walker's lecture will be moderated by Provost Dr. Ivan Evans followed by a Q&A session.
