This conversation features Raquel Martin, Ph.D., who will lead a presentation surrounding “Resistance Fatigue" advocacy and restorative practices in the continued work toward freedom. Martin is passionate about mental health education, activism and critical consciousness. As a practicing psychologist, she specializes in racism-related stress, racial identity development and anti-racist and anti-oppressive care. She utilizes a unique approach combining culture, science and history to educate and empower others.
Individuals attending the webinar, put together by UC San Diego Library’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee in partnership with the UC San Diego Library Black History Month Committee, are encouraged to submit questions in advance while registering for the event.
