Breakpoint: Reckoning with America’s Environmental Crises

The Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (CMBC) at Scripps Institution of Oceanography is hosting a special author event: an evening with Jeremy B. C. Jackson and Steve Chapple. Dr. Jackson, Director of CMBC (2007–2011) talks about his new book Breakpoint: Reckoning with America’s Environmental Crises with co-author, and MAS-MBC alumnus, Steve Chapple. Jeremy B.C. Jackson is an emeritus professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceangraphy and senior scientist emeritus at the Smithsonian Institution. Steve Chapple is an award-winning author and writer of the national newspaper column Intellectural Capital. His previous books include Kayaking the Full Moon and Let the Mountains Talk, Let the Rivers Run. Book signing from 5:00–6:00 Lecture/discussion from 6:00–7:00 Book is available for preorder through Amazon A limited quantity of books will be available for sale between 5:00 and 6:00 the day of the event.
