Are you interested in a volunteering opportunity at UC San Diego? We are looking at a sizable volunteer effort this year and would be grateful if you could lend your time! UC San Diego’s All Campus Commencement will be taking place on Saturday, June 17, 2023. We need your help in recognizing the accomplishments of our scholars!

Shifts Available:

• Shift 1: 6 - 9:45 a.m.
• Shift 2: 7:45 - 11:45 a.m.
• Shift 3: 9:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Volunteer Duties:

• Volunteer Check-In: Check-in volunteers and quickly deploy to appropriate lead area(s).

• Triton Track/Graduates Line Management: Work with your fellow volunteers to support the graduate procession from Triton Track to RIMAC field.

• Guest Line Management: Direct guests from check-in on Ridge Walk to RIMAC field, distribute programs, and answer basic event FAQs.

• Information Booth: Keep our guests informed by staffing an information booth down on RIMAC field.

• ADA Support: Provide assistance to guests on the field or track in need of ADA assistance.

• General Assistance: Be prepared to lend a hand wherever a need arises.

• Gonfalon holders: Be part of the procession while holding flags that represent the university’s schools and divisions.

• Procession/Recession/Seating: Seat graduates. Following the ceremony, help dismiss graduates in an orderly fashion.

• Alumni Sun God Pin Distribution: Alumni preferred, light food and refreshments provided.
