Dear Musical Friends!
It is with great pleasure that we announce the 12th season of Camera Lucida chamber music performances. After more than a decade of friendship, shared musical labor and exhilarating performances, we feel fortunate to carry on this tradition in the extraordinary setting of the Conrad Prebys Concert Hall, and in the presence of all of you, our invaluable listeners and supporters. This season we will conclude our multi-year exploration of the complete String Quartets of Beethoven, to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth. We will also venture into the special worlds of rarely-performed masterpieces by the likes of Francis Poulenc, Arthur Foote, Franz Schmidt, Frank Bridge, Gyorgy Kurtag and Darius Milhaud—worlds of rare coloristic and textural beauty.
