Campus Conversations: Free Speech

Campus Conversations: Free Speech

Join a community building circle to engage in dialogue on free speech and the university. This facilitated dialogue will be an opportunity to discuss free speech and the presentation provided by Erwin Chemerinsky, one of the country’s preeminent constitutional scholars and the dean of University of California, Berkeley’s Law school. Attendance at the presentation is highly encouraged, though it is not required to participate in the Campus Conversation. Tritons Together: Campus Conversations Tritons Together: Campus Conversations offer community building circles for the UC San Diego community. This is a new initiative coordinated through the Center for Student Involvement in collaboration with the National Conflict Resolution Center. A team of undergraduate student Dialogue Ambassadors and staff members of CSI and NCRC will co-facilitate Circle Dialogues (also known as “community building circles”). Incorporating Circle Process methodologies and Restorative Practices, co-facilitators will provide a structured environment to generate dialogue amongst the participants focused on a specific topic. Circle Dialogues foster open and supportive spaces for people to talk across differences. For more information, please contact dialogue@ucsd.edu.
