Michelle McCunney ’84
Michelle McCunney ’84 is known for her narrative-driven work, which ranges in format from ink, watercolor and collage books to paintings on canvas. A native of San Diego, Michelle teaches watercolor and illustration for UC San Diego Extended Studies and has taught painting, drawing, and contemporary art courses for the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Facultad de Artes in Ensenada, Baja California. Michelle graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in anthropology and visual arts in 1984, went to Mexico City to study painting, and completed an MA in visual arts at UNAM’s Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas in 1988.
