Holy Frit (2021)

Witness the remarkable – and often comedic – journey of Tim Carey ‘96, a UC San Diego alumnus, as he undertakes a monumental glass art commission. 

Following the screening, join us for a Q&A session with director Justin Monroe as well as a live demo with glass artist Tim Carey ‘96, who will illustrate his techniques and discuss his artistic process. Tim will lead an intimate hands-on glass art workshop following the demo. There is limited capacity; registration on a first come, first serve basis. Click below to sign up.  

Tim Carey ‘96 attended Revelle College and earned a degree in biochemistry. His scientific background, rooted in observation and experimentation, continues to inform his artistic practice.

Paul J. Stankard: Flower and Flame (2024) 

Delve into the life of pioneering artist, Paul Stankard, through this inspiring documentary.  After the screening, join film director Dan Collins and glass artist David Graeber for a Q&A session and a deeper understanding of Paul’s work and legacy.

Through a generous donation from an alumna, the Stankard-Graeber Studio at the Craft Center is named after artists Paul Stankard and David Graeber. We invite you to join us for light refreshments at the Craft Center following the screening.
