CHS Vassiliadis Lecture: Was There A Eurasian Late Antiquity?

Join us for a special lecture hosted by the Center for Hellenic Studies at UC San Diego. “Was There A Eurasian Late Antiquity?” featuring guest speaker Professor Michael Kulikowski. Michael Kulikowski (PhD Toronto ’98) is Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of History and Classics at Penn State and has been Head of the History Department there since 2010. He writes on the institutional and political history of late antiquity and his books include Rome’s Gothic Wars (2007) and The Triumph of Empire (2016) and have been translated into six languages. He writes regularly for the London Review of Books and the Wall Street Journal. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments are provided. Please RSVP online.
