Jan 15, 2022–Jan 22, 2022 (All Day)
As a campus, UC San Diego has defined changemaking as any intentional activity that moves us towards a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world, and we want to be sure we stop and celebrate our accomplishments.
Changemaker Week will showcase the outstanding changemaking work taking place across our campus. It will provide interested students, faculty, staff, and alumni the chance to explore opportunities for creating change through social enterprise development, community engagement, social justice, and service-learning.
This year’s Changemaker Week will include 40+ in-person, virtual, and asynchronous opportunities.
Activities include a Changemaker Student Organization Fair; a conversation with UC San Diego Changemaker Faculty Fellows; community building and restorative circles focused on social change; a virtual screening of “Sisters with Transistors;” a panel of Ph.D. Student Changemakers; LGBTQIA+ Change-A-Thon; the Ethnic Studies Research Symposium; Changemaker internships; and various community engagement opportunities in collaboration with Martin Luther Jr. King Week of Service.
A complete schedule of Changemaker Week activities is available here: https://changemaker.ucsd.edu/events/changemaker-week/index.html.
