Apr 9, 2024–Apr 9, 2024 from 3:30pm–5:00pm
The annual China Town Hall (CTH) provides a snapshot of the current U.S.-China relationship and examines how that relationship reverberates in our towns, states and nation, connecting Americans around the country with U.S. policymakers and thought leaders on China.
CTH is a two-part program. In the first part, CTH is honored to have U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell, a UC San Diego alum, to talk to us about U.S.-China relations via live videocast nationally. Following his talk is our local, on-site event featuring Caroline Freund, dean of the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy. She will discuss how U.S. policies are reshaping U.S.-China trade and global supply chains. A reception with appetizers and beverages will immediately follow the talk.
Since CTH began in 2007, the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) has proudly partnered with a range of organizations nationwide to convene town halls to bring this important national conversation to local communities around America. In San Diego, the 21st Century China Center has collaborated with the Global Education program at The Bishop’s School to bring CTH to San Diego audiences.
