Renowned Chinese historian Qin Hui (秦晖) examines China’s historical discourses on the “Examination System” (科举), “local nomination” (乡举里选), and “election” (选举) to shed light on how Chinese history influences politics in the modern era.
This lecture will be delivered in Chinese, with English captions projected in the venue.
