Join UC San Diego Natural Reserve System and San Diego Natural History Museum on a guided hike of Elliott Chaparral Reserve in Scripps Ranch  to practice collecting iNaturalist observations for the City Nature Challenge. The hike will take about 1.5 hrs and cover 2-3 miles (depending on how many interesting plants there are along the way). Make sure to bring sturdy hiking shoes, long sleeves and pants, and all the food and water you will need for the hike. Additionally, while this event is family-friendly, no dogs or other pets are allowed inside the reserve.
