About this Event
This event will take place in The Lodge @ Sixth College from 8 AM to 9 PM on May 9th, 2026. This event is only open to undergraduates.
The Claude Hackathon aims to get students to think about how what they are building is fitting into the technological landscape of today’s day and age. During the hackathon, students will create a project in accordance with a theme, write a 1-2 page writeup regarding ethical concerns or implications of the project and/or specific system design elements that address such concerns, and create a 3-5 minute video about their project in teams of 2. There will be free Claude merch, food, and film photography that will be developed after the event. The prizes for the top 2 teams are an Artemis Rocket Lego Set, $300 of Claude API credits, and Claude tote bags per person. This event is also held in collaboration with the AI Alignment Club, who will be running workshops about data ethics to help students on the write up portion.
