Comedy Night at the Guggenheim

Mark Christopher Lawrence has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for his work on the short film The Flourish and on his co-produced short $TACK$. Lawrence is a recipient of the San Diego Critics Circle’s Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Actor Of The Year. He’s a national headliner who has worked with Sinbad, Jerry Seinfeld, Rodney Dangerfield, and Jeff Foxworthy and has headlined clubs, colleges and churches all over the USA and Canada. This year Lawrence has garnered many accolades for his Lead role in a film for the holiday season “Bringing Back Christmas” streaming now on Amazon, as well as the Lead role in the PureFlix.com miniseries “Fragment:Oblivion”. Lawrence is best known for his role as Big Mike on the NBC TV series CHUCK. He can be seen on the Tyler Perry TV drama “All The Queens Men” streaming now in it’s fourth season on BET+. Also, he can be seen as a guest star on the sitcom “Sprung” on Freevee TV. Lawrence is a co-executive producer on the comedy series Pure Laughter on KPBS. Headliner Scott Wood
Who has appeared on ABC, BET, FOX, COMEDY CENTRAL and AMERICA’S GOT TALENT. Scott is the Creator and host of the new cooking show featuring stand-up comedians called “Something Smells Funny” currently streaming on Tubi TV. Scott’s brand new DRYBAR special Mr. Punchline is available now.

Featuring Kurt Swann
Who performs in comedy clubs and at corporate events and hosts the long-running comedy show “West Coast Funnies.” Also, he’s a writer for the award-winning comic strip “Dustin.”

With Lisa Gilbert
Lisa started her Stand Up Comedy career in her hometown San Diego, CA. This AARP eligible mother of 12-year-old Triplets makes her both inspirational and tired! Lisa’s storytelling style makes her an instant crowd favorite as she shares about growing up biracial being a wife and mother of elementary school age kids and her crazy life. She is a paid regular at Mic Drop Comedy Club, is recognized as one of the Best Of at The Comedy Store. Her Dry Bar Comedy Special “All The Time Tired” can be heard on all platforms and she can be heard on Sirius XM. She has been featured in Comedy festivals like The Ladies Room Comedy Festival, Cactus Comedy Classic, Black Woman in Comedy Festival, and was a runner-up in the Funniest Housewives Comedy Competition.

Musical performance by Ash Foster
She is a Native San Diegan who grew up performing all around San Diego! You can find her singing with multiple projects such as The Mondaze, The Gray Kats, as well as performing solo. She also hosts several events with House Concert Series and Make Music Day! Her passion is performing and creating a safe place for Artists to be vulnerable, heal and support each other through music! Keep a look out for her solo project this year!
