Join the Compassion Interest Group for a talk by School of Medicine students Catherine Keiner and Esha Lal on their compassion research. Keiner and Lal are 2021-2022 Med Gap Sanford Scholars with funding provided by the Sanford Institute for Empathy & Compassion. Med Gap Sanford Scholars receive funding to take a year off between their 3rd and 4th year of medical school to complete a research project.

The Compassion Interest Group is a group of scholars interested in compassion-related research projects that meets monthly to learn about ongoing research. CIG’s mission is to build community around compassion research to raise awareness and inspire collaborations across disciplines. Anyone in the UC San Diego community is welcome to join!
