The Contextual Robotics Institute at the University of California San Diego will hold its fourth annual Forum on October 27, convening leaders in the fields of autonomy, user experience, robotics and technology law to discuss the theme of “Intelligent Vehicles 2025.” The Contextual Robotics Forum will explore the social, legal and technological implications of autonomous driving that need to be addressed to successfully deploy intelligent vehicles. Top researchers and industry professionals from Qualcomm, 5D Robotics, TuSimple, Lytx, NVIDIA, and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), plus the University of Washington School of Law and the electrical engineering and computer science departments at UC San Diego, will highlight developments and challenges in the intelligent vehicle space. In addition to speakers, a Technology Showcase will feature hands-on demonstrations of human-swarm coordination from the Multi-Agent Robotics Lab at UC San Diego; robotics for healthcare from the UC San Diego Healthcare Robotics Lab; nanorobots for biomedicine from the Laboratory for Nanobioelectronics; and driverless vehicle interfaces from the UC San Diego Design Lab.
