BRAVO! CHINESE ART WEEK - Continuity & Innovation in Traditional Chinese Painting. UC San Diego University Art Gallery—Mandeville Center. Gallery Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 am to 1 pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Paintings from six prominent artists from China and Taiwan explores the continuity and innovation of the millenia-old medium of traditional Chinese painting. They will be on view starting Saturday, Sept. 14 through Oct. 2 at the University Art Gallery. Featuring work by: WANG Chang Chieh 王昌杰, ZHAO Zhun Wang 赵准旺, ZHOU Hua Jun周华君, Xian Xian GU古铣贤, LU Tian Ning 陆天宁 and HAN Mo 韩墨. Opening Reception: Saturday September 14, from 3 to 5 pm. Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. a panel discussion with four of these artists, moderated by UC San Diego art historian and professor Kuiyi Shen and followed by a live demonstration.
