Patents and Pizza offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of intellectual property with Priya Cloutier, Director of Intellectual Property at UC San Diego’s Office of Innovation and Commercialization.
Priya has spent 26 years advising start-ups, emerging companies, and closely held corporations develop their patent and IP portfolios for commercialization. She has deep experience in Due Diligence, leading several large IP Due Diligence teams over the years. This time Priya will focus on building a patent portfolio for fundraising and due diligence success.
This FREE event provides a friendly space to ask questions, share ideas, and gain insights from an expert in the field along with some delicious pizza to enjoy!
In this session, Priya will discuss how Intellectual property is one of the most valuable, and most overlooked, assets a person or organization can hold. This presentation breaks down every major category of IP, from patents and trademarks to copyrights and trade secrets, giving you the tools to identify what you own, understand how it's defined, and take steps to protect it. Whether you're an entrepreneur, creator, or business leader, walk away knowing how to find, define, and defend your intellectual property.
