Apr 30, 2021–Apr 30, 2021 from 9:30am–11:00am
Is it enough to simply not say or do anything racist? Or do these times demand that our White leaders, faculty, staff, and students develop more capacity and courage to be active allies and change agents to dismantle racism and create far more racially inclusive and just campus environments?
In this engaging presentation and conversation, Dr. Becky Petitt, Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Dr. Kathy Obear, President of the Center for Transformation and Change and Co-Founder of the Social Justice Training Institute, will continue to explore many of the critical skills and actions that will help White allies to move beyond being “non-racist” to being an active and effective anti-racist member of the UC San Diego community.
ASL Interpreters and Closed Captioning will be available.
