Crossing Borders: Exploring San Diego’s Dynamic Binational Region

Crossing Borders: Exploring San Diego’s Dynamic Binational Region

UC San Diego exists on the edge: of a continent, of a country, and on the leading-edge of possibilities. It’s no surprise then that our students and scholars make a regular habit of breaking boundaries and pushing past borderlines. Located a short 30 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, we have a front row seat to both the complex challenges facing border communities — as related to health, energy, environment and mobility — and an exciting array of opportunities. Join us for “Crossing Borders: Exploring San Diego’s Dynamic Binational Region” and explore the myths and realities of our vibrant region.

About the Evenings of Nonconventional Wisdom virtual event series:
Sixty years after its founding, UC San Diego continues to challenge expectations and meet society’s biggest challenges. To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we are hosting five virtual Evenings of Nonconventional Wisdom showcasing the global impacts, leading-edge research and Triton spirit that for 60 years have helped solve the great challenges of our day. Connect with — and be inspired by — what’s next from UC San Diego. Learn more at sixtieth.ucsd.edu.
