Nov 1, 2017–Nov 1, 2017 from 1:00pm–2:00pm
Bennett Freeman, an expert in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), will share his thoughts on CSR in the age of populism and nationalism. In this talk, he will argue that companies must balance cross-pressures — U.S., global, commercial interests and brand values — with higher stakes than perhaps ever for both their own interests and the worlds. Freeman has worked at the intersection of governments and international institutions; multinational corporations and investors; NGOs and trade unions to promote sustainable development and respect for human rights around the world. Freeman consults through Bennett Freeman Associates and as a senior advisor for Business for Social Responsibility. Read bio. The event will take place in GPS classroom 3201 (directions). Closest parking will be at the Pangea Parking Structure. Permits must be purchased at the top level.
