Cultural Competency & Diversity

About the Program: With increasing diversity, it is critically important that leaders hone their abilities to assess a situation with a cultural perspective, weigh the social and cultural factors at play, and be able to interact respectfully and constructively with diverse groups. Organizations and leaders that are good at navigating cultural factors will be more able to respect, manage, and leverage the diversity of their employees, their partners, and their clients. Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and the management of diversity are key components of modern, global leadership. Course Objectives:

  • Understand what cultural competency and diversity means in an organizational setting
  • Assess your own CQ
  • Learn about the ROI on diversity
  • Identify ways to create and maintain diverse and culturally intelligent teams

  • What is Cultural Competence?
  • Why do you need CQ?
  • What does diversity really mean, and why is it important?
  • Best Practices for navigating cultural differences
