Dr. Kyoochul Kim of the Korea Development Institute will introduce data on the economy of North Korea, and present studies that have analyzed the North Korean economy. In this talk, he will present various specialized datasets, including defector survey data, market price data, nighttime light data obtained from satellites, and air pollution data from environmental satellites. He will also discuss key research on the North Korean economy, including the impact of sanctions analyzed through the data.
