About The Last Mile of AI for Creativity
AI is changing our world in unimaginable ways in areas of scientific discoveries, language understanding, and content generation. Will AI take over everything? Haijun Xia argues there is a last-mile problem of AI for creativity, and it is not an AI problem but a human problem. In this talk, Haijun Xia will share the research that he has been doing in Human-Computer Interaction that has the potential to bridge the last mile of AI for creativity.
About the Speaker
Haijun Xia is an Assistant Professor in the Design Lab, Cognitive Science, and Computer Science & Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. He also directs the Creativity Lab. His recent research interest is combining Human-Computer Interaction and artificial intelligence to augment productivity and creativity. His work has received in total 7 Best Paper Awards or Honorable Mentions at ACM CHI, UIST, and IEEE VIS conferences.
