The UC San Diego Library’s annual gala event, Dinner in the Library, will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, featuring the dynamic Ari Shapiro, an award-winning journalist and co-host of NPR’s All Things Considered. Shapiro will draw on his experience as a White House and International correspondent to give a compelling and timely talk titled, Behind the News of the Moment. The evening’s festivities will include a signature cocktail hour, fabulous dinner, and champagne and dessert reception all in the university’s iconic Geisel Library. All proceeds benefit the UC San Diego Library’s collections, services and learning spaces for students, faculty and the local community.
