Join us for this panelist event that will cover the Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) pathway as an alternative to M.D. Western University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific will be present to cover more of their program. Learn about the differences and similarities of both M.D. and D.O. pathways including medical specialties, graduate programs, and more. Our panelists will include Dr. Raul Hernandez, D.O., Dr. Richard Wolf, D.O., and Dr. Michael Kurisu, D.O. Our panelists have a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from specialties such as Occuloplastic Surgery with some of the practitioners currently at UCSD Health.
Bios: Dr. Wolf is a Board-certified specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, practicing as a Clinical Professor at UCSD for the past 20 years. Prior to that, Dr. Wolf was a generalist ObGyn physician in the US Navy, and completed his Fellowship at UCSD before returning to the Navy, retiring from the Navy after more than 20 years active duty service. He then returned to UCSD as faculty. Dr. Wolf’s areas of specialization include Fetal Imaging and High Risk pregnancies, and he has authored multiple chapters in Medical Textbooks on Imaging and complications of pregnancy. He graduated from Osteopathic Medical School in Des Moines and completed his ObGyn residency at Oakland Naval Hospital and Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu.
