_.noocambriidæ._ is a collaborative audiovisual work from ess whiteley and Andrew Wharton. noocambriidæ positions the noosphere not just as an emergent field but a substrate where entities can come into being. Synthetic/ organic, digital/biological, virtual/actual, these monstrous entities are born out of the compost pile of the collective unconscious as it operates through cyberspace. _.noocambriidæ._ speculates on a second Cambrian explosion of autonomous creatural forms born out of primordial cyborg potentials. Through 3D animation and 8-channel spatialized interactive sound, _.noocambriidæ_. acts as a nooscope into this realm of more-than-human behaviours and transmutations.
