Ethics in the Public Sphere: The Shape of the State

The Philosophy Department presents renowned philosopher Philip Pettit. His lecture is titled “The Shape of the State.” Pettit is the L.S. Rockefeller Professor of Politics and Human Values at Princeton University, as well as a Distinguished University Professor of Philosophy at the Australian National University, Canberra. His books include “The Robust Demands of the Good: Ethics with Attachment, Virtue and Respect; and “Just Freedom: A Moral Compass for a Complex World.”
