He went on to work for such companies as Cisco Systems, Loudcloud and eBay before he landed at Facebook in October 2004, less than a year after the company was founded. Halicioglu was among Facebook’s first 20 employees. As a software engineer and operations officer, he developed the hardware infrastructure that enabled the social network’s explosive growth.
