Family Meal… Conversations About Food with Soleil Ho and Mark Padoongpatt

Let's talk food! Soleil Ho is the San Francisco Chronicle restaurant critic. Mark Padoongpatt is associate professor of Asian-American studies at UNLV. Together they will open up a discussion about food and family meals. Soleil Ho is the San Francisco Chronicle’s restaurant critic. She’s written for multiple food and pop culture publications like “Bitch,” “Food & Wine,” “Taste,” and “Wine Enthusiast”; and hosted the podcasts “Propaganda” and “Racist Sandwich.” Mark Padoongpatt is associate professor of Asian-American Studies and interdisciplinary Studies in the Department of Interdisciplinary, Gender and Ethnic Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is the author of “Flavors of Empire: Food and the Making of Thai America.” Presented by the Institute of Arts and Humanities, Department of History and Department of Ethnic Studies.
